Seven Report recently received a shipment of three Dura Smoke peach-based ejuices from American eLiquid Store; Peach, Peach Chill and Peach Cream. I reviewed each one individually (click on the names of the ejuices in that last sentence for those reviews). But as soon as I opened that vape mail I had the idea of assembling a taste test panel to see if real vapers could tell the difference between these three related, yet distinctive flavors. Once I’d finished all three individual reviews I got the panel together, filled three tanks with the ejuices in question, set up the video camera and started The Great Peach Vape Taste Test.
Each bottle of ejuice was hidden beneath a coffee mug. The contestants were brought out one-at-a-time, given a brief description of each ejuice and then asked to vape each one and guess which was which. We all had a lot of fun shooting the video and testing the Dura Smoke ejuices. I hope you enjoy watching the video half as much as we did making it.
FULL DISCLOSURE: All of the contestants are related to me. They are (in order of appearance):
Kelsey: My daughter. She’s been vaping since Thanksgiving 2014, after smoking analogs for a few years. She started with an EVOD 2 but quickly moved up to an Eleaf iStick and an Aspire Nautilus Mini. Kelsey started vaping mostly fruit flavored ejuices, but has since begun trying dessert flavors as well.
Brandi: My daughter-in-law. Brandi is not a vaper. And she’s not a particularly big fan of peaches. But she is a great sport and was more than happy to help out with the taste test.
Caleb: My son. Caleb has been a smoker for between 15 – 20 years. He’s tried vaping a few times with the gas station cigalikes, but didn’t stick with it. Currently he’s trying out the Dura True Starter Kit and we’ll have an update report on his progress with that in a few days.
Teri: My wife. Teri was a smoker for about 35 years. She started vaping in July of 2014, making her the most experienced vaper on the panel. It took some work to get her in front of the camera. Teri runs the camera on all of the videos you see on Seven Report. She started vaping with an EVOD 2, then moved up to an iTaste MVP 2 with a Kanger Aerotank Mega. Her current outfit is a DOVPO E-Mech with a Kanger Subtank Mini.
(SPOILER ALERT: If you haven’t watched the video yet and don’t want to know how the panel did, stop reading now, scroll back up and click on the video.)
Everyone correctly identified the Peach Chill, a mix of peach and menthol. It’s a very distinctive flavor, cool and juicy. The other two flavors, Peach and Peach Cream, are much more similar, though to my tastes the Peach Cream is somewhat milder, the peach a little subdued by the rich flavor of the whipped cream. Interestingly, all of the ladies on the panel confused those two flavors, only Caleb got all three right.
The bottles we used in the taste test were all from the Dura Smoke Blue Label, which is a 100% VG mix, and they all had a nicotine level of 6%. Dura Smoke also offers each flavor in their Red Label which has a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Nicotine levels are available in 6 MG increments from 0 to 24 MG. Peach is in the Dura Smoke Fruit Line, Peach Chill in the Chill Line, and Peach Cream in the Cream Line. American eLiquid Store offers all these ejuices (and the rest of the Dura Smoke menu) in 10 ml bottles for $6.99 and 30 ml bottles for $16.99.
