Strawberry shakes were always a treat when I was a kid. Back in the day when McDonalds “burgers sold” count was still in the thousands and there was only one in our north Jersey town, those thick, pink, creamy, sweet shakes made our occasional trips across town for burgers something to look forward to.

Fast forward to today. Seems there’s a fast food place on every other corner. But those sweet strawberry shakes are still the flavor of choice of kids everywhere. At least that’s the case with my own grandsons. Every time we take them to a burger place they opt for strawberry shakes. There’s something about that sticky sweet taste they can’t seem to get enough of.

I can’t remember the last time I had a strawberry milkshake. As my tastes matured they became too sweet for me. Don’t get me wrong. I like milkshakes. I like strawberries. It’s just that I’ve found that most places that offer strawberry milkshakes go way overboard on the sweetness. And that’s often the case with strawberry based ejuices. Too sticky sweet.

I do believe it’s possible to make a strawberry milkshake, the ice cream treat and ejuice, without overdoing the sweetness. I still haven’t found an actual strawberry shake to prove that hypothesis, but I have discovered an ejuice that proves it without a shadow of doubt. It’s Sweet Geisha from V8P Juice International.

The V8P Juice website says, “Sweet Geisha is our signature Strawberry Milkshake blend.” And the flavor menu they included in the recent shipment to Seven Report says, “Our strawberry/vanilla milkshake with sweet cream will have you begging for more.”

The Numbers As Tested

Nicotine Level      6 MG
PG/VG Ratio        30/70

Make no mistake about it, Sweet Geisha is a sweet ejuice. But it’s not that sticky, almost candy-like sweetness you associate with fast food strawberry shakes, the kind made with who-knows-what. No, Sweet Geisha is sweet, but it’s the sweetness of natural strawberries with cream and a hint of vanilla. Much as I imagine that elusive perfect strawberry shake to taste.

Sweet Geisha bottleStrawberry is the primary flavor, especially on the inhale. Where Sweet Geisha is particularly complex is on the exhale. There’s that smooth finish of sweet cream and vanilla, though the strawberry is present throughout. I think it’s the addition of the vanilla that keeps Sweet Geisha out of that “too sweet” range that spoils so many other attempts at strawberry based ejuices. The throat hit is in the mild range. The vapor is rich and almost velvety. And the aroma presents, again, the strawberry as the primary element, though there is a note of something between cream and vanilla as well.

I vaped Sweet Geisha for two days, and while strawberry is not my go to flavor, I found that I’d emptied the bottle much sooner than I would have liked. The experience was wonderful, any time of day. Though, I must admit I didn’t try Sweet Geisha after a meal of fast food burgers and fries, this ejuice seems a little too sophisticated for that.

V8P Juice International offers Sweet Geisha in glass dripper bottles, 10 ml for $10, 30 ml for $20, 120 ml for $75 and a whopping 250 ml for $125. Available nicotine levels are 0, 3, 6, 12 and 18 MG. The standard PG/VG ratio is 30/70, but you can request a 50/50 mix.

One of the interesting things about all of the ejuices from V8P Juice is that they’re plant based. The VG is 100% pure USDA certified organic vegetable glycerin, and the PG if made from non-GMO corn.

I vaped Sweet Geisha in a Kangertech Subtank Nano powered by an Eleaf iStick 50 Watt. V8P Juice provided the bottle of Sweet Geisha I sampled for the purpose of this review.
