I received unexpected vape mail from an unexpected source on Tuesday. It came from blu electronic cigarettes, their new blu PLUS+ pack. blu was my very first vape product, but I didn’t stick with it for long and went back to smoking until I discovered open source vaping systems.
blu is a cig-alike, closed system device. The PLUS+ kit that I received came with a rechargeable pack, two rechargeable batteries, a wall charger, USB cable and three Classic Tobacco cartridges, though blu has taken to calling them “blu Tanks” now.
Also included in this package are three packs of each of the three other flavors on the blu menu; Magnificent Menthol, Cherry Crush and Vivid Vanilla. blu says that the new PLUS+ batteries last twice as long as the original blu batteries and that the new “blu Tanks” have more than twice the capacity of the original blu flavor cartridges.
While I was using the original blu kit the thing I liked most was the convenience. The rechargeable pack has to be charged itself, but then it charges the batteries and has room to store an assembled battery and flavor cartridge and three additional flavor cartridges. Those cartridges contain the atomizer and ejuice, or as blu refers to it, “flavor liquid.” According to blu,the nicotine level on these cartridges is 2.4%, a substantial increase from their original cartridges.
I’ll come back and do a quick First Look on the blu PLUS+ kit in the next day or two. Then I’ll use the kit for about a week or so and post a full, in-depth review. If you follow Seven Report on Twitter or Facebook you’ll be notified that way when those posts are live.
