VaporFi now officially has a line of box mods, with the introduction of the VOX Mini. The Mini joins the VOX II and the original VOX to fill out the VaporFi family of high end, variable wattage mods.
The VOX Mini maintains many of the same features of its big brother, the VOX II, and bears a strong family resemblance. As the name suggests, the Mini is compact in size, coming in at 81.5 mm X 35 mm X 22 mm. That means it’ll nearly disappear in your hand and its slim enough to carry comfortably in a pocket or small purse.
Like the rest of the VOX line, the VOX Mini is a high end, quality mod. It features a variable wattage range of 7 – 40 watts, adjustable in 0.1 watt increments. It’ll fires coils with resistances from 0.3 – 3.0 ohm. The VOX Mini has a spring loaded 510 connector. It packs a 35A internal battery that’s rechargeable via a micro USB port on the side of the unit and the included cable. You can continue vaping while the unit is charging.
A bright, crisp OLED display shows battery level, resistance of the attached atomizer, volts and your selected wattage. There are three buttons on the VOX Mini, the fire button and the “+” and “-” buttons. Performance: The VOX Mini is a workhorse of a performer. It fires whenever you hit that button. The buttons are solid, easy to find and have a quality feel to them, providing both an audible and tactile click when pressed.
Wattage adjustments are easy with each single click moving the power 0.1 watt while holding down an adjustment button accelerates the change. The OLED is bright and easy to read, giving you all the information you need at a glance.
That built in battery provides a full work day of vaping. I’m regularly getting 12 hours or more between charges. And the Mini’s pass through capability allows me to keep vaping while the unit is charging.
Features: VaporFi gave the VOX Mini a fairly impressive set of features, especially for a mod of its and price range. Variable wattage from 7 – 40 watts, the ability to fire coils from 0.3 to 3.0 ohm, that spring-loaded 510 connector and pass through charging lead the list.
The compact size of the VOX Mini makes it easy to transport. Even with a full tank attached it’s light, comfortable in your hand and easy to stick in a pocket or purse. It’s an excellent choice for vapers who prefer a smaller mod.
The OLED is bright and easy read and provides plenty of information. VaporFi added a nice touch that I wish more mod manufacturers would include; the display will show “Full Charged” when the VOX Mini is, well, fully charged, leaving no doubt in your mind as whether the light simply went out or what color means charged and which means still working on it. And VaporFi includes a micro USB charging cable in the box.
The VOX Mini includes all of the standard safety features, like short circuit, low voltage and low resistance protection, fully vented battery casing and the ability to lock the device. And the VOX Mini has an auto shut-off feature that kicks in at around 30 minutes after you’ve last vaped on it.

The buttons protrude from the surface just enough to make them very easy to find without needing to constantly look for them. And they function well. The OLED display is sharp and easy to read.
The threading is smooth, making it easy to connect a tank. And the micro USB port is on the front of the unit, making it possible to sit the unit upright while charging. The Mini, even with its diminutive size, feels substantial in my hand.
Looks: I really like the looks of the VOX Mini, with its slim profile, curved back and flat front. The finish on the stainless steel is really nice, and the darker color of the control panel area provides a nice contrast. The VaporFI green of the logo on the side of the unit really pops too.
Price/Value: VaporFi lists the VOX Mini at $79.99. That’s in the upper end of average price range for a 40 watt, variable watt mod. But this is a VaporFi product we’re talking about. And VaporFi is not a discount vendor. They make high end, quality devices and don’t compete on price, but on quality and service.
