There’s something about cinnamon that seems to make almost anything a little better, a little tastier. It should be on tables at restaurants right next to the salt and pepper. Sometimes it can be a little mysterious; you know there’s something extra in a recipe but you can’t quite put your finger on it. Chances are, it’s cinnamon. From chili to toast with sugar and cinnamon, hot cereal to apple pie and candy to blended coffee and tea drinks, cinnamon always makes it better.
At least it makes it better if the cook exercises a little restraint. Sometimes more isn’t better. And that’s the danger with cinnamon in ejuices. Too much cinnamon flavor can turn an ejuice into a mouth burning, eye watering, cough inducing disaster. But that is definitely NOT the case with Sweet Lava from the Premium Blend line of Dura Smoke ejuices.
Dura Smoke describes Sweet Lava as, “Rumchata and fireball…enough said.” The American eLiquid Store website says, “Sweet Lava is a chai latte eliquid with a twist, or a horchata with a cinnamon kick, you make the call! Cinnamon eliquids can be a bit overpowering and most horchata eliquids just don’t carry the flavor you’re looking for in a premium ejuice. Sweet Lava packs both in just the right proportion. The cinnamon flavor is light and sweet, instead of bright and stinging, so it tastes like a Latte with a touch of cinnamon, not chewing on a cinnamon stick. Better still, the subtle and creamy flavor of the horchata keeps this the kind of flavor yur taste buds will remember, and ask for again and again.”

Sweet Lava is a wonderful ejuice. The flavors are blended well, yet not so much so that you can’t pick out a few individual tastes, especially the cinnamon. This is cinnamon done right, it’s light, a little sweet and warm. And it helps to bring out the other flavors, the horchata/rumchata/chai latte. Those flavors are rich, creamy and smooth. The whole mixture is delightful. I couldn’t get enough of it. The cinnamon leads on both the inhale and the exhale. On long, leisurely pulls there something almost pastry-like in the taste. And on the exhale you really notice how creamy this flavor is.
The vapor is a little warm, and that may owe something to the cinnamon. It’s smooth and creamy and there’s a lot of it. The throat hit is mild, especially for a cinnamon ejuice, but there’s no tongue bite. And the aroma is delightful, it really smells like a Latte with a touch of cinnamon. There’s nothing overpowering here, yet the entire experience is rich, smooth and creamy.
I vaped Sweet Lava for two days and nearly finished off a 30 ml bottle. I just couldn’t put it down. There is no bad time of day to vape Sweet Lava, no occasion where it isn’t appropriate. About the only negative thing I can think of about Sweet Lava is that if really dislike cinnamon, then this ejuice is not for you. Otherwise, you really do need to try it.
