  • Light throat hit

When I think of citrus the first thing that comes to my mind is oranges. Sweet, juicy, a little sticky, aromatic. After a minute or two, I’ll remember some of the other members of the citrus family. Grapefruit, lemons, limes, those tart to downright sour fruits. And then there’s the tangerine. Smaller and slightly stronger tasting than the orange.

When I was kid, my brother, sister and I would always get a tangerine in our Christmas stocking. I think it was a tradition from my mom’s childhood. But that tradition came to an end one year when my sister didn’t eat her tangerine. She actually left it in her stocking and packed it away. The next year when we pulled out the Christmas decorations that dried out tangerine was still in that stocking. No one got a tangerine in their stocking after that.

The Dura Smoke website describes Citra Smash Premium Blend ejuice as “Citrus, sweet and tangy eLiquid that you won’t be able to put down.” The description on the American eLiquid Store website reads, “Citra Smash is no simple blend of oranges and lemons. It’s a complex citrus bouquet that hints at a soft drink, but brings so much more to the experience. Possibly the best thing, there’s no chalky, dry aftertaste or finish to Citra Smash, it stays clear and mellow all the way through. No overpowering single flavors, it’s truly a crafted eliquid made to satisfy a real citrus lover.”

The Numbers As Tested

Nicotine Level     6 MG
PG/VG Ratio      0/100

Wikipedia lists 50 different varieties of citrus. Granted, many of them are sub species of oranges, limes and lemons. I did manage to find a list of the major types of citrus fruits, nine of them. Oranges, tangelos, tangerines, grapefruit, lemons, limes, kumquats, citrons and “other.” My guess is that there are at least four distinct types of citrus flavors in Citra Smash, and somewhere less than 50. It’s hard to say for sure. Dura Smoke has done such a great job of completely blending how ever many flavors are in this ejuice.

On the inhale there’s a delightfully juicy, slightly sweet flavor, with just a hint of tanginess. On the exhale the taste is smooth and just a little effervescent. The throat hit is mild enough to vape Citra Smash with a deep lung hit. But I prefer to allow the vapor to play over my tongue to fully enjoy that fresh fruit taste before pulling it down to my lungs and then exhaling.

Citra Smash bottle 01The vapor is thick and plentiful. And that aroma, while mild, is wonderfully fruity, definitely of the citrus variety and exceedingly pleasant.

I vaped Citra Smash for over two days. Each vape was refreshing. There was no bad time of day to enjoy it and I experienced no flavor fatigue. And that citrus note, while definitely there, isn’t overpowering. So if you enjoy fruit ejuices of any variety you’re really going to like Citra Smash. And if you are a citrus fan, then I think we may have found your new favorite ejuice in Citra Smash.

American eLiquid Store offers Citra Smash in 30 ml glass bottles for $20.99 and in nicotine levels of 0, 3, 6, 12, 18, and 24 MG. Like most of the Dura Smoke Premium Blend line, Citra Smash comes in a 100 VG mix. I vaped Citra Smash in a Kangertech Subtank Nano powered by an Eleaf iStick 50W. American eLiquid Store provided the bottle of Citra Smash I sampled for the purpose of this review.
