I wanted to bring you a quick update on a few items that I found interesting, and hope you will too.
The Kangertech KBOX Mini
About a week or so ago the Kanger website began listing the KBOX Mini 50 watt box mod, in black and in white, as a stand alone item with a listed price of $42.90. Kangertech first introduced the KBOX Mini on June 10, 2015 as part of the SUBOX Mini Starter Kit, packaged with a Subtank Mini tank in matching color. Seven Report published a review of the SUBOX Mini before its release date.
The white and black Subtank Minis have been available as stand alone items for some time, but not the KBOX. And the KBOX, despite being listed on the website, is still not available as a stand alone. My contacts at Kangertech tell me that through July they had shipped over 600,000 units of the SUBOX Mini Starter Kit and still have over 100,000 on back order. They did release a very small shipment of the KBOX Mini 50 watt mod in July, but until they can fulfill those orders for the SUBOX Starter Kits they won’t be able to ship the KBOX Mini as a stand alone product, the darn things are just selling too fast.
Kangertech also told me that they’ve seen clones of the KBOX Mini, especially in Malaysia, so they want to warn customers to check the authenticity of any unit before buying it. If you see a KBOX Mini advertised on a website that you’re not familiar with, chances are it is not authentic.
The overwhelming popularity of the SUBOX Mini Starter Kit has also delayed the release of the next product from Kangertech, the SUBOX Nano, which, presumably will include the KBOX Mini and the Subtank Nano tank in matching colors. Kangertech will also soon be releasing the Subtank Plus in both white and black editions. We’re expecting to receive one of the Subtank Plus Black Edition tanks soon for a Seven Report review.
New Retail Website
Late on the evening of August 7, 2015 a new player entered the online retail vape world, DirectVapor.com. My contact at Direct Vapor says the website offers free shipping with no minimum purchase required, same day shipping on items ordered by 12 PM Eastern time, have a price matching program and “some of the best warranties and refund policies around.” Direct Vapor carries all the major hardware brands, including Kanger, Aspire, Innokin, Eleaf, Sigelei and more. They also stock many of the best known ejuice brands, but only those that are among the cleanest and that are all diacetyl free. Check them out and keep coming back to Seven Report for more information from and about them too.
Coming To Seven Report
In addition to the Kangertech Subtank Plus Black Edition, I’m expecting a couple of temperature control mods, including the Asmodus Snow Wolf 200 watt mod, and one from a relatively new manufacturer as well in the next week or so.
I’m also looking for a sampler pack of Motley Brew ejuice pretty soon. Keep checking back for more details on that and other hardware and ejuice reviews. If you follow Seven Report on Twitter and Facebook you’ll updated that way when new posts and videos are live on the site and the You Tube channel.
