Bradford Pears 01It’s spring time! I love this time of year. Opening day of Major League Baseball is just around the corner. Canadian geese stop to rest in the woods behind my house, honking instructions to each other as they land and then as they resume their journey north in the morning. The trees where I live are already starting to bloom, the Bradford Pears and Dogwoods are the first. It won’t be long before the Crape Myrtles and Magnolias begin to bud. And somewhere in there the air will begin to hang heavy with the sweet scent of Honeysuckle.

honeysuckle nectarAs kids, it was a springtime tradition to walk through the woods in search of Honeysuckle. If we could get to it before the humming birds did we’d pluck a flower from the vine, pinch off the bottom and pull that white string-like part, the style, out of the flower to get at that one drop of sweet nectar. Honeysuckle was pretty easy to find, if there was any to be found, its unique sweet aroma practically begging us to come closer.

Beyond that childhood treat of one-drop-at-a-time nectar, I never thought of Honeysuckle as a flavor. It was always filed in my brain as a fragrance, sweet, light, delicate, clean. Like spring. And then I received a bottle of Honeysuckle ejuice from Stella Blues Vapors. Their website describes Honeysuckle ejuice as, “Delve into this sweet and aromatic vape that will have your senses tingling! Sweet undertones with a nectar base to pop out all of the juice’s crispness.”

The Numbers As Tested

Nicotine Level     24 MG
PG/VG Ratio      45/55

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I first vaped Honeysuckle. What I got was one of the most delicate, yet pleasant tastes I’ve ever vaped. There’s a light sweetness to Honeysuckle, unique, but with just a glimmer of something approaching honey without quite being honey. Aroma and flavor are closely related and the flavor of Honeysuckle ejuice took me back to those sunny days of pinching the bottoms off of Honeysuckle plants. The taste is not only sweet, but crisp and fresh.

The vapor is smooth, with a tendency to bite playfully at your tongue if you pull too hard. The throat hit is mild. And the aroma, well the aroma is like hitting the mother lode on a Honeysuckle hunt and walking into the middle of a field of the wild flowers drenched with early morning dew.

Honeysuckle BottleI vaped Honeysuckle for about three days and enjoyed each tankful without any sign of flavor fatigue. I imagine this would have been an excellent choice to help get through those long chilly days of January and February with its ability to refresh and brighten the mood. Stella Blues Vapors places Honeysuckle ejuice in their Fruity line, but it’s not exactly a fruit ejuice, though it’s missing the perfume quality you might expect from something called a “floral” flavor.

Stella Blues Vapors offers Honeysuckle in a number of sizes; 15 ml for $9, 30 ml for $15 and each of those sizes can be ordered in glass bottles for an additional $2. It’s also available in a 50 ml bottle for $23, 60 ml glass bottle for $28 and a 100 ml glass bottle for $42. Nicotine levels come in 2 MG increments from 0 to 24 MG. And Stella Blues Vapors offers caffeine in their ejuices. A single shot is $1, $2 for a double shot.

I vaped Honeysuckle in a Kangertech Aerotank Mega on an Eleaf iStick. Stella Blues Vapors provided the bottle of Honeysuckle that I sampled for the purpose of this review.
