Toucan Sam 01I don’t know if you’re aware of it or not, but not that long ago Froots Loops cereal was at the center of a pretty big controversy, at least as far as cereals go. Kellogg’s had admitted that all of the loops in Froots Loops were the same flavor, a Froot blend of tastes, regardless of the color of any individual loop. That flew in the face of heavy implications made by Toucan Sam in Froot Loops TV commercials from the 1960s that the cereal included the flavors orange, cherry and lemon “with colors to match.” Toucan Sam could not be reached for comment.

But that hasn’t seemed to hurt sales. According to the Washington Post, Froot Loops was the number nine best-selling cereal in America in 2014 with over $230 million in sales. Seems like everyone loves Froot Loops.

That makes the cereal a natural for an ejuice flavor. And even if Toucan Sam’s credibility is somewhat in doubt, you can trust Stella Blues Vapors description of Fruity Pants, “The juicemasters long awaited version of the classic: Froot Loops.” Once again, Stella Blues Vapors has managed to capture the flavor, and with it some of the memories, of a childhood favorite.

The Numbers As Tested

Nicotine Level     6 MG
PG/VG Ratio       45/55

Just as Kellogg’s did with Froot Loops, Stella Blues Vapors has managed to take a variety of fruit flavors and blend them so expertly that it produces a new taste sensation while allowing each individual flavor to retain some presence in the mix. On the inhale the initial taste is that of a fruity, or should that be “frooty,” blend. But before you draw the vapor into your lungs the individual flavors start to pop. The citrus, particularly the lemon, is by far the most dominate. There’s also a slight note of orange and cherry. The lemon remains on the exhale with something just a little sweet to help mellow it.

On Australian boxes of Froot Loops the natural flavors are listed as orange, lemon, raspberry, cherry and lime. U.S. boxes only list “natural flavors,” with no specific tastes on the label. So it could be something like a raspberry in Fruity Pants, but it’s pretty subdued.

The vapor is smooth and on the cool side. The throat hit is rather mild. Fruity Pants has a mildly sweet and citrusy aroma that makes you think you should go to the cupboard and grab a spoon, it’s almost identical to that of Froot Loops.

SBV Fruity Pants bottleFruity Pants is a wonderfully complex blend of fruit flavors that I enjoyed throughout the day. There’s enough sweetness to keep it from being a purely lemon blend, just like Froot Loops the cereal. I experienced no flavor fatigue and found it to be a refreshing vape.

Stella Blues Vapors offers Fruity Pants in 15 ml and 30 ml plastic bottles for $9 and $11. Glass bottles are available in 15 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml, 60 ml and 100 ml sizes for $11, $17, $23, $28 and $42. All of Stella Blues Vapors standard line ejuices come in a 45/55 PG/VG mix.

Available nicotine levels are 0 – 24 MG in 2 MG increments. You can caffeine in your Fruity Pants, a single shot is $1 and double shot is $2.

I vaped Fruity Pants in a Kangertech Subtank Plus on an Eleaf iStick 50 Watt box mod. Stella Blues Vapors provided the bottle of Fruity Pants I sampled for the purpose of this review.
