I like smoothies. So much so that when I walk into my local smoothie shop whoever is behind the counter starts making me my regular, only pausing to ask me what size I’d like. My regular is not a fruit-based variety, though according to the menu board there is some banana in it. It’s a coffee-cocoa-peanut butter mixture, dubbed Java The Nut. There is also, if the menu is to be believed, frozen yogurt and non-fat milk in there. Those last two ingredients seem to be added more for the texture of the smoothie rather than the taste.
That’s the way it is with smoothies, texture is nearly as important as taste. And when a smoothie is mixed properly the primary flavors are identifiable, yet blend together to produce a new taste entirely. It’s all in the mix, and the person doing the mixing. One guy at the smoothie shop seems to have just the right touch. When anyone else there mixes my Java The Nut the peanut butter is a tad more noticeable.
Mixing ejuice seems to have a lot in common with mixing smoothies. Some ingredients are added for their flavor. Others are added (primarily, and I’m making an educated guess here) for the effect they have on the texture of the vapor. Fruit Smoothie from Dura Smoke is an ejuice mixed well. The official description of Fruit Smoothie from the American eLiquid Store website (who provided the bottle I tested) is: “An inspired blend of berries, peaches and Bavarian Cream go into DuraLiquids Fruit Smoothie. The refreshing aroma and taste of our Fruit Smoothie will have you thinking of summer sun and orchards anytime of year.”

Peach is the dominant flavor, by far, in this ejuice. The berries are noticeable and serve to moderate the tanginess of that peach taste. I still haven’t been able to figure out exactly what type of berries are in there, that’s how well they’re blended. The Bavarian cream serves more to smooth out the texture of the vapor than add to the taste, but there is a hint of it’s creamy sweetness on the exhale.
The vapor is light, cool and plentiful. I chalk that up to the 100% VG of this ejuice. Dura Smoke makes two different blends; the Blue Label, which this bottle is from, that is 100% VG, and the Red Label, which is a 50/50 PG/VG mix. The trade off for all of that vapor is in the throat hit. Fruit Smoothie has an extremely mild hit. So if you enjoy lots of vapor and don’t like a heavy throat hit, you’d definitely enjoy Fruit Smoothie from the Blue Label. But if you like a little hit you might be better off going with the Red Label variety, but I have not tried the Red Label.
Fruit Smoothie produces a light aroma that is very peachy, though it does have some hint of berries. For peach lovers, Fruit Smoothie makes a great choice for an all day vape. And the light throat hit of the Blue Label variety ensures that you can vape it all day with little fatigue.
There are two minor issues I have with Fruit Smoothie ejuice, and both have to do with the marketing and not the vaping experience it provides. First is the name. Yes, peaches and berries are fruits, so Fruit Smoothie is not an inaccurate name, but Peach Smoothie would have been more accurate. And what will the good folks at Dura Smoke name their next fruit-based, non-peach smoothie ejuice, Fruit Smoothie 2? For Fruit Smoothie to have been the absolute best name for this ejuice, there would need to be a wider variety of fruit in the mix.
The second issue, again a minor one that deals with marketing, is the picture used on the American eLiquid Store website. Not a peach among all that fruit. There are strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, an orange, even a kiwi. But no peach. The Dura Smoke website doesn’t do much better. The only fruit in their photo is a strawberry and the color of the smoothie they portray looks like a straight up strawberry smoothie, pink with tiny bits of red fruit. Minor issues, granted, but there’s just something curmudgeonly in my personality that wouldn’t allow me to not bring them to your attention.
American eLiquid Store offers DuraSmoke Fruit Smoothie ejuice in a 10 ml bottle for $6.99 and a 30 ml bottle for $16.99. Nicotine levels are available in 6 MG increments from 0 MG to 24 MG. Blue Label varieties are a 100% VG mix and Red Label ejuices are mixed with a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. I tested Fruit Smoothie in a Kangertech Aerotank Mega powered by an Innokin iTaste MVP 2.
