First Look: VaporFi Rebel 3
VaporFi has just released the latest in its line of Rebel starter kits, the Rebel 3 Starter Kit. The Rebel 3 features the 5.8 ml capacity Rebel 3 tank with a 0.5 ohm organic cotton coil installed (and a spare in the box), and the 3000 mAh Rebel 3 battery.
The VaporFi website says the Rebel 3 is, “a small device packing a big punch.” It goes on to say, “This device rebels against everything you know about vaporizers and tanks. Many people associate big devices with big clouds; but with the Rebel 3 that is not the case.”
To fill the VaporFi Rebel 3 Tank, simply unscrew the atomizer base and then fill the tank from the bottom, making sure you don’t get any ejuice in the center air pipe. If you’re using a new coil be sure to prime it before using it. Then re-attach the atomizer base to the top of the tank and screw the tank onto the Rebel 3 Battery.
The tank has adjustable airflow. Rotate the airflow control ring to expose more or less of the airflow port.
To turn the Rebel 3 Battery on or off click the fire button five times. The fire button is the sole method of control on the Rebel 3 Battery. There is a small light on the side of the device which will blink slowly when the battery is fully charged and more quickly when it needs to be charged.
I fully charged the Rebel 3 Battery prior to the first vape. Then I primed the coil and filled the tank with NovaJuice Comet ejuice, set the airflow control about half way open turned on device and took a first vape.
As I vaped the flavor got a little fuller as the juice more fully saturated the organic cotton in the coil. The manual recommends priming a new coil and then allowing it to sit in the tank for 10 minutes; I may have jumped the gun on that 10 minutes.
Vapor production was good as was flavor production. I’ll using the VaporFi Rebel 3 Starter Kit extensively for the next week or so and then will post a full, in-depth review. If you follow Seven Report on Twitter or Facebook you’ll find out that way when the review is live.
