WARNING: Chocolate is a highly addictive flavor. And Stella Blues Vapors’ Chocolate Cake ejuice certainly has that quality. Stella Blues Vapors lists Chocolate Cake in their Bakery Flavors. The aroma is reminiscent of Grandma’s kitchen the night before a family birthday with a made-from-scratch chocolate cake in the oven. The texture of the vapor is much like that of the batter we’d fight over licking out of the mixing bowl, smooth and creamy.
The Numbers As Tested
Nicotine Level 24 MG
PG/VG Ratio 45/55
Stella Blues Vapors describes Chocolate Cake as, “Deeply rich chocolate cakey goodness!” That’s a fairly subdued description for such a wonderful flavor. The flavor, while definitely chocolaty, rich and delicious, is even more subdued than that description. And that’s the biggest drawback of this ejuice. (EDITOR’S NOTE: Yes, we let it steep, for two weeks, that’s one of the reasons this the last of our batch of flavors from Stella Blues Vapors to be reviewed.) On the upside, since the chocolate flavor doesn’t overpower your taste buds, you can vape Chocolate Cake all day with no taste fatigue. The flavor is smooth, without a trace of the chalkiness that so often afflicts other chocolate based ejuices.
Where the flavor itself is a tad weak, the aroma enhances the taste and lingers pleasantly. Someone walked into a room where I’d been vaping Chocolate Cake and said, “Oh, it smells so good in here, like chocolate and maybe a little caramel.” I hadn’t noticed that essence of caramel in the flavor, but wouldn’t be surprised if Stella Blues Vapors had used a little to add to the overall experience and creaminess of this ejuice.
Chocolate Cake provides a moderate throat hit and plenty of smooth vapor. Even though there’s a decent hit to this vapor, it’s enjoyable on both the inhale and the exhale. While stronger chocolate flavors can be a bit too sweet, Chocolate Cake’s mild flavor makes it an excellent all-day vape and it’s especially good with a cup of hot coffee.
Chocolate Cake is available from Stella Blues Vapors in 15 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml sizes for $9, $15 and $23 respectively. The 15 ml and 30 ml are also available in glass bottles for an additional $2. Nicotine levels are from 0 MG to 24 MG in even numbered increments. All of Stella Blues Vapors ejuices come in a 45/55 PG/VG ratio, except for the Sub Ohm Line. Stella Blues Vapors also offers caffeine shots in their ejuices; you can add a single shot for $1 or a double shot for $2. We tested Chocolate Cake in a Kangertech Aerotank Mega powered by an Innokin iTaste MVP 2. Stella Blues Vapors provided the bottle we sampled for the purpose of this review.
