I love breakfast food, could eat it all day. Waffles, omelets, bacon, ham & eggs. Problem is, breakfast food is not very convenient, or portable. It’s not easy grabbing a stack of pancakes, oozing in butter and syrup, while you’re running out the door on the way to work. And eating them while driving, next to impossible. Then along came breakfast bars. Tasty fruit wrapped in a flaky pastry. In theory, breakfast bars are a wonderful culinary invention. In theory. Too often though what’s supposed to pass as fruit is little more than runny jelly and the pastry has the texture of corrugated cardboard.

Fruit based ejuices often run into a similar problem, especially those with multiple flavors in the blend. They can come out too sweet, almost more like candy than real fruit, and it’s really difficult to get multiple flavors blended to the point where each taste comes through on its own, yet adds to the whole mixture. When an ejuice maker adds a word to the name or description of the juice that implies there’s some sort of bakery element in the taste, well, I’ve been disappointed more often than not. The primary flavor, be it fruit or something like chocolate or caramel, is usually readily discernible, but that cake or pie or pastry essence is usually so sublime as to be almost invisible to my taste buds.

Stella Blues Vapors describes their Breakfast Combustion as: “Waking up in the morning, people always love coffee, or food! So here is our version of a nutrtious style of a breakfast bar to help jump start your day! Our Breakfast Combustion EJuice is a sweet Fig Newton type fruit bar, consisting of raspberry, apple and a tint of blueberries! I wonder if the ol’ Tart Toter had something to do with this one!”

I don’t know how they did it, but Stella Blues Vapors has managed to incorporate the texture and flavor of that pastry shell along with a pleasant mix of raspberry, apple and blueberry. When vaping Breakfast Combustion in a Kangertech Aerotank Mega on an Innokin MVP 2 the pastry essence was more noticeable the higher I cranked the wattage. I also vaped it in a Kangertech EVOD 2. In that lower powered set up the pastry flavor wasn’t nearly as strong and the raspberry clearly dominated the taste.

The Numbers As Tested

Nicotine Level     24 MG
PG/VG Ration     45/55

Breakfast Combustion is definitely fruity, and not everyone will find it appropriate for all day vaping. But that pastry essence makes it great for a first vape of the day, especially with a good cup of coffee. The raspberry is the predominant element in the aroma, and that’s going to affect your overall experience; so if you’re a raspberry fan that’s good news. If not, well, we warned you.

For a fruit based ejuice, Breakfast Combustion has a surprisingly solid throat hit. Not overpowering or unpleasant, just stronger than most fruity ejuices we’ve tried. The vapor is plentiful. And there is that mysterious texture of the pastry. Still not sure how they pulled that one off, but it certainly makes Breakfast Combustion a unique vape.

Breakfast Combustion is available from Stella Blues Vapors in 15 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml sizes for $9, $15 and $23 respectively. The 15 ml and 30 ml are also available in glass bottles for an additional $2. Nicotine levels are from 0 MG to 24 MG in even numbered increments. All of Stella Blues Vapors ejuices come in a 45/55 PG/VG ratio, except for the Sub Ohm Line. Stella Blues Vapors also offers caffeine shots in their ejuices; you can add a single shot for $1 or a double shot for $2. We tested Breakfast Combustion in a Kangertech Aerotank Mega powered by an Innokin iTaste MVP 2, and in the Kangertech EVOD 2. Stella Blues Vapors provided the bottle we sampled for the purpose of this review.
