Anticipation is a wonderful thing. Sometimes, often times actually, the anticipation of something is sweeter than the actual realization of that thing. In the vape world there have been countless opportunities for anticipation over just the past six months or so with the announcements of new sub ohm tanks and temperature control mods and the like.

On a local level, one of the most anticipated events in my vaping community came to fruition this past April at the second anniversary celebration of the vape shop Vapes Gone Wild (VGW). Several weeks prior to that event Vapes Gone Wild announced that they would be introducing a new signature drip line of premium ejuice. They even had some available for sampling at their ejuice tasting station, but not for sale. The one flavor that was creating buzz within our local community was a strawberry cheesecake ejuice named Temptation.

On the night of the event, which took place at a local restaurant, the lines to try the new VGW Drip Line snaked through the crowded dining area and around the bar. The longest of those lines ended at the Temptation station.

Vapes Gone Wild describes Temptation as, “A sweet, creamy strawberry cheesecake with a cinnamon crust. The new favorite of everyone who tries it.”

The Numbers As Tested

Nicotine Level     3 MG
PG/VG Ratio    Max VG

I’ve sampled quite a few strawberry based ejuices, and a number of cheesecake flavored ejuices too. Temptation combines those two taste experiences and adds a little dash of cinnamon to create a flavor that is worthy of its name. This is an ejuice that is creamy sweet, a little juicy with just a hint of cinnamon. It’s wonderful vape.

Strawberry is the primary note on the inhale, but it’s slightly mild and enveloped in the creamy texture of rich cheesecake. On the exhale the strawberry lingers and is joined by the understated warmth of cinnamon, much like a bite of strawberry cheesecake with just a little corner of cinnamon crust would taste.

The vapor is velvety smooth, a little warm, and voluminous. The throat hit of Temptation is on the mild side. A light strawberry scent dominates the aroma, but it’s joined by a soft creamy cheesecake note and a hint of cinnamon.

VGW Temptation bottle 1Temptation makes a wonderful after dinner vape, but I also enjoyed it throughout the day. I tried to make my bottle last as long as possible, backing my wattage down to 35 watts, but that 15 ml was gone all too quickly. If you enjoy a creamy smooth texture to your vape, enjoy a strawberry taste that’s not overwhelming or too sticky sweet, then you are going to really enjoy Temptation.

Vapes Gone Wild offers Temptation in 15 ml glass dripper bottles for $9.99. They’ll be adding a 30 ml size soon (please hurry with that, 15 ml doesn’t last nearly long enough!). Available nicotine levels are 0 MG, 3 MG and 6 MG. All of the VGW Drip Line come in a Max VG mix. The Drip Line is not recommended for use in standard tanks, only for dripping or vaping in sub ohm tanks.

I vaped Temptation in a Kangertech Subtank Mini on a Kanger KBOX Mini (the SUBOX Mini set up), and Vapes Gone Wild provided the bottle of Temptation I sampled for the purpose of this review.
