Seven Report welcomes a brand new review product supplier, Smokstore. And they’ve provided a brand new product, the SMOK AL85 Mod. The AL85 is the mini version of the very popular SMOK Alien mod.
The AL85 is the same basic shape as its big brother, but is much smaller. The Alien has a maximum output of 220 watts. The AL85, as the name suggests, has an 85 watt max output. It’s powered by an external, not included, 18650 battery. The SMOK AL85 is so mini that it’s actually shorter than the battery, so SMOK gave it a top loading battery slot with a screw on cap to accommodate the battery’s height.
For its tiny size, the AL85 has a huge display. It’s the same size as the display on the Alien with all of the same information provided. And, I’m led to believe, operates in much the same way, with an identical menu system.
The AL85 will fire from 1-85 watts in variable wattage mode and 200 – 600 F and 100 – 315 C in temperature control mode. The mod will work with coils with a resistance range of 0.1 – 3.0 ohm in wattage mode and 0.06 – 3.0 ohm in TC mode.
For some reason the AL85 I received did not include a user manual. But I’ll figure it out. In the next day or two I’ll publish a First Look piece, where I’ll go over the settings and specs and then slap a tank on it and give it a first vape. Then after a week or two of extensive use I’ll publish a full, in-depth review.
Thanks to Smokstore for providing the SMOK AL85 for Seven Report to review. You can find out more about it and pre-order one from Smokestore.
