First Look: Innokin Disrupter
Innokin Technology has been around for a long time, as least in terms of vaping industry time. Not so very long ago their MVP series of variable voltage, variable wattage mods were among the most popular box mods on the market. Even in the face of competition from Eleaf and Kangertech, Innokin continued to release updated versions of the MVP.
But they weren’t relying totally on the MVP line. Recently they unveiled a new product line with a unique twist, the Disrupter mod and InnokinCell power system. The Disrupter is a variable voltage, variable wattage box mod that’s powered by the 2000 mAh InnokinCell.
The Disrupter and InnokinCell are sold separately, and American eLiquid Store sent one of each for a Seven Report review. The Disrupter is available in black or silver and the InnokinCell comes in four colors, black, red, purple or blue.
The Disrupter has a variable voltage range of 3.0 – 7.5 volts and a variable wattage range of 6 – 50 watts. It will fire coils with resistances between 0.2 – 3.1 ohm and, Innokin claims, it’s capable of delivering a full 50 watts of power through that range.
The InnokinCell attaches to the Disrupter using Innokin’s “Slide’n’Click” system, simply slide the cell onto the mod till it clicks into place. The cell can be charged with a micro USB cable, not included. You can continue vaping while the unit is charging.
The OLED display shows selected voltage and wattage, battery level and resistance of the attached atomizer. It also includes a puff counter and will display a number of safety messages. The display can be flipped 180°.
I attached the VaporFi Volt Hybrid tank to the Disrupter and tried a first vape (see the video above). Pretty impressive, the combination of the Volt and the Disrupter provided a good deal of vapor at a couple of wattage settings. The Disrupter feels good in my hand and I really look the feel of the buttons.
