Peanut butter is one of those flavors that is a favorite in its own right, but also mixes well with a wide variety of other flavors. Peanut butter and chocolate, peanut butter and jelly, I’ve even known people to eat peanut butter on bananas. And my brother swears that our mom used to pack us peanut butter and lettuce sandwiches, though I have no recollection of such a delicacy. Though I have had peanut butter on celery stalks.
For some reason, peanut butter is one of those flavors that seems to be difficult to duplicate in ejuice. I’ve sampled a number of peanut butter cup and peanut butter and jelly ejuices and they’ve been hit and miss at best. Either the other tastes dominate the peanut butter or what is supposed to pass as peanut butter just doesn’t quite get there.
So when I opened the package from NovaVapes and found a bottle of NovaJuice Comet, I was eager to give it a try. NovaVapes describes Comet as, “A delicious mix of peanut butter, raspberry and strawberry. Comet will leave your taste buds wanting more!”
The Numbers As Tested
Nicotine Level 3 MG
PG/VG Ratio 30/70
Comet is the second ejuice I’ve tried from NovaJuice. The first was Rainbow Dust, and it was a subtle, yet delicious vape experience. Likewise, Comet has a subtle, almost mild taste with those three flavors expertly blended.
On the inhale peanut butter is the first and primary note. And it is very definitely peanut butter, smooth, creamy and slightly dark but mild at the same time. There are also hints of that raspberry and strawberry, which become much more pronounced on the exhale.
Comet has a creamy cool vapor and a mild throat hit. The aroma is understated, but there’s no mistaking the peanut butter. The berries ride under the peanut butter, as if they’re trying to hide, but they’re in there as well.
NovaJuice has crafted a well blended, slightly sweet taste treat with Comet. I’ve been enjoying it for about three days. It’s especially good with a cup of coffee. It’s reminiscent of those PB&J sandwiches I used to enjoy as a kid, and still, on occasion, savor today.
If you’re a fan of peanut butter based ejuices that actually taste like peanut butter, you have to give Comet a try.
NovaVapes offers Comet in 30 ml bottles for $8.69 and 100 ml bottles for $20.69. Available nicotine levels are 0 MG, 3 MG, 6 MG, 9 MG, 12 MG, 15 MG and 18 MG. NovaJuice Comet comes in a variety of PG/VG ratios: 30/70, 40/60, 50/50, 20/80 and Max VG.
I vaped Comet for a little more than two days in an Arymi Gille tank on a Kangertech KBOX 200 and in the VaporFi Rebel 3. NovaVapes provided the bottle of NovaJuice Comet I sampled for the purpose of this review.
