There are times when I find myself in the mood for something a little different, complex and intricate with multiple flavors all mixed together. And then there are other times when something simple is what I’m looking for, one or two flavor notes at most.
At first glance it may seem that the multi-flavored ejuice is tougher to get right. I don’t know, I’ve never mixed ejuice. But from vaping hundreds of flavors all along the quantity of flavors scale, I can tell you that it’s just as difficult to find a really good “simple” taste as it is a complex one. With an ejuice based on one or two or flavors there’s very little room to hide to any inadequacies of either taste. You either get it right, or it’s pretty obvious to everyone that you didn’t.
Forge Vapor has managed to pair two tastes into a delicious combination that highlights the best of both flavors in their Blueberry Boss. Blueberries can be on the tart side, especially if they’re not allowed to fully ripen. And if they stay on the bush too long they can get a little mushy. Forge Vapor has managed to replicate the flavor of blueberries picked at just the right moment and then eaten right away.
And they’ve combined that ripe blueberry flavor with rich, slightly sweet, heavy cream. The beauty of Blueberry Boss (and all of the Forge Vapor ejuices I’ve tried so far) is that at different temperatures the ejuice displays different nuances of taste.
The Forge Vapor website says, “With just the right amount of blueberry flavor, packed inside a custard cream any 5 star chef would be proud of, Blueberry Boss could be your next daily vape. It’s just smooth enough, and just light enough, to let the blueberries shine without becoming overpoweringly bitter or sour.”
American eLiquid Store, who supplied Blueberry Boss for Seven Report to review, says, “We’ve hammered together the perfect blueberry custard flavor just for you. Blueberry Boss is a clear and sweet blueberry fused with a heavy dairy cream that grows stronger with higher temperatures.”
The Numbers As Tested
Nicotine Level 3 MG
PG/VG Ratio 30/70
There’s nothing complicated about the flavor of Blueberry Boss, it’s blueberries and cream. But there are those subtle nuances of taste depending on the temperature you vape it at. On the inhale at lower temperatures, below about 525° F, the blueberry note is predominant, especially on the inhale. Above 525° F that cream taste is what I notice most, especially on the exhale.
No matter what temperature setting you’re using, both flavors are evident, it’s just as if you’ve poured a little more cream into your bowl of fresh blueberries when you vape at higher temperatures. Blueberry Boss has a creamy vapor that’s on the cool side. The throat hit is mild and the aroma is pretty spot on with what you’d expect from a bowl of freshly picked blueberries and heavy cream.
I vaped Blueberry Boss longer than I’d expected to, longer than I needed to gather the information for this review. But I just couldn’t put it down. Even though blueberry is not my first flavor choice, or even my first fruit or berry flavor choice, I found Blueberry Boss to be a very delicious vape.
If you are a fan of blueberries, this is going to be one of your favorites. If, like me, you can take or leave blueberries, you’re still going to find Blueberry Boss a solid addition to your ejuice rotation.
