Four Months Tobacco Free

calendar-8-14-14-resizeDecember 14, 2014 marked four months since my last tobacco cigarette. Bought my last pack that morning. Smoked seven of them and then went with my wife to the vape shop and picked up a Kangertech EVOD 2 kit. I haven’t smoked since then. (More information on how I came to buy that first vaping kit is here and here.)

Since that last smoke this website and the companion You Tube channel have grown. I’ve met some wonderful people, the vape family, and been introduced to some great companies who have supplied samples of their ejuices for us to review; companies like Skull & Raven, Stella Blues Vapors and American eLiquid Store.

My vaping collection has grown from the EVOD 2 to include the Innokin iTaste MVP 2, Kangertech Aerotank Mega, and for Christmas will get an Eleaf iStick and Aspire Nautilus Mini. And I’ve sampled dozens and dozens of ejuice flavors from countless companies.

I’m certainly much happier vaping than I ever was smoking. I feel better, breathe better, smell better. Friends and family who had been after me for years to quit smoking are happy as well. My daughter and her husband were visiting from Florida over Thanksgiving and accompanied us to our local vape shop where they bought the EVOD 2. And that makes all of us happy. I’m still working on my son and his wife. I’m pretty sure they’ll come around soon.

Jake misses his time on the porch

About the only one not happy with the switch to vaping that my wife and I have made is our dog Jake. You see, we never smoked in the house. We would go out on our big screened in back porch whenever we needed a cigarette. So that meant 10 to 20 trips a day out to the porch for Jake. Jake loved the porch. It was big enough for him to run around a little and we’d usually play fetch with one of his tennis balls. But since August 14 we’ve barely been out on the porch, especially since the weather turned colder. That’s another plus, we vape in the house all the time and don’t worry about the smell, since vapor doesn’t cling to the drapes and furniture the way tobacco smoke does.

So thanks for visiting the website. If you’re still smoking, I hope you’ll give more thought to vaping. And if you’ve already started vaping I hope you enjoy our reviews and stories. And I’d love to hear and share your story. Feel free to contact me through the comment sections below or email me here.
