First Look: SMOK TFV4 Tank

SMOK has been getting quite a bit of attention with their TFV4 tank, and I must admit that I’ve been hoping to get one to review. Our friends at GearBest made that wish a reality when they sent one the other day.

The TFV4, for Taste Furious V4, boasts two new patented sub ohm coils, a triple and a quadruple coil. It also comes with a single coil RBA. The triple coil, dubbed the TF-T3 is rated at 0.2 ohm and has a suggested wattage range of 40 -130 watts. SMOK calls the 0.15 ohm quad coil the TF-Q4 and its wattage range is 40 – 140 watts. The RBA, the TF-R1, comes with a pre-wrapped coil rated at 0.8 ohm.

The tank itself has a four-port adjustable airflow system. The drip tip that comes with the TFV4 is another of its unique features. It has two tubes, the inner one connected to the the chimney that screws into the coil. The outer tube draws air from the drip tip’s adjustable airflow slots with the space between the two tubes serving as a heat shield. The mixture of warm vapor and cooler air makes for interesting vape.

The top of the SMOK TFV4 is hinged and swings open to reveal the fill slot in the gasket. This innovation makes filling the tank quite convenient.

TFV4 Side box newI opened up the SMOK TFV4, took out the triple coil head that came installed, and put in the quad coil. I filled it with ejuice, dripping a few drops of ejuice directly into the center of the coil to prime and let it sit for five minutes allow the cotton to become fully saturated. Then I put it on the Snow Wolf 200 watt mod. My first vape produced an incredible amount of full flavored vapor. I tried first at 50 watts, then 75 watts and then cranked it to 100 watts. At that level the vapor was pretty warm, but still very tasted. I finally settled at 65 watts.

I’ll be using the SMOK TFV4 extensively for the next week or so and then coming back with a full, in-depth review. If you follow Seven Report on Twitter or Facebook you’ll find out that way when that review is live.

Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
