First Look: Origo CVB

I recently received the two products in the new Origo line from rocVape, CVT and CVB. These are billed as the Complete Vaping Tube (CVT) and Complete Vaping Box (CVB). You can see the First Look at the Origo CVT here. These two products are nearly identical except for their shape.

The rocVape Origo CVB is an all-in-one kit with an internal 1.9 ml, top filling “CUP” tank that is supposed to be leak proof. It comes with two 0.5 ohm Origo coils with a suggested wattage range of 8 – 28 watts.

When using a new coil be sure to put a few drops of ejuice into the center of the coil and on the cotton exposed through the ejuice flow ports. Then allow the coil to soak in a full tank for a few minutes before vaping. When filling the tank be careful to need exceed the “Max” fill line on the mod.

The mod is powered by an internal 1600 mAh battery that’s charged via the micro USB port at the top of the device by using the included charging cable. Click the fire button, located on the top of the unit, five times to turn it on or off. The LED behind the fire button will flash green when turning the Origo CVB on or off. It will illuminate green when pressing the fire button to vape. When the light flashes red eight times it’s time to charge the battery. If the LED flashes red three time there’s a short circuit in the coil.

The Origo CVB (and the CVT) is a pretty simple device. No wattage or temperature adjustments. It fires at a constant 18 watt output. It does have airflow control by twisting the ring on the top cap.

I primed one of the coils, attached it to the top cap, filled the tank with Strawnana Smoothie ejuice from Vapes Gone Wild and allowed the coil to soak for about five minutes to make sure it was fully saturated.

The draw on the CVT was pretty tight, so I opened the airflow control fully on the CVB for my first vape. Vapor and flavor production were both more than satisfactory and the draw was nice and airy. I adjusted the airflow to about half way open. The vapor was just a little warmer and the flavor popped a little more. Very impressive performance from this little, 18 watt constant output device on a first try.

I’ll use the Origo CVB extensively over the next week or two and then will post a full, in-depth review. Like Seven Report on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to be alerted when that review is live.

rocVape offers the Origo CVB for $42.99. Get more information or order here.
