First Look: Kangertech DRIPBOX

Kanger dripbox official 3Kangertech is introducing another new product, branching out with a dripping and squonking device, the DRIPBOX Starter Kit. A squonk mod has a modified connector to an RDA (or tank) with a small tube that runs into a plastic reservoir or tank inside the mod that is filled with ejuice. By squeezing, or squonking, the reservoir ejuice is delivered to the coil.

The Kangertech DRIPBOX includes the Subdrip RDA which can be used as a more traditional top dripper or can be fed via the plastic, 7 ml reservoir that sits inside the 60 watt Dripmod.

Dripbox Red contents officialIn addition to the Dripmod and Subdrip, which comes with a 0.2 ohm drip coil installed, Kanger packages the DRIPBOX with a replacement drip coil, a second plastic reservoir, a micro USB charging cable, a screwdriver, two pre-wrapped coils, screws, a package of organic cotton and a user’s manual.

The Dripmod is powered by an 18650 battery, not included, and will fire coils with a resistance of 0.2 ohm or higher. It turns on and off with five presses of the fire button, the only button on the mod. There is no display on the Dripmod, but the light behind the fire button will communicate various warnings and conditions, such as low battery or that the coil has a resistance too low for the mod to fire.

I put a battery in the Dripmod, filled the reservoir with Temptation ejuice from the Vapes Gone Wild dripping line and put the reservoir back into the mod. It took a few squeezes, or squonks, to get any ejuice into the Subdrip, but it became visible quickly. To be safe, I also dripped some ejuice into the top of the Subdrip to fully soak the cotton.

The Subdrip has two air flow slots which can be adjusted by twisting the drip tip connector. I set it to wide open for my vape on the DRIPBOX. I chose Temptation ejuice because it’s a flavor I’m familiar with and enjoy. In the DRIPBOX the flavor really popped and the vapor production was impressive.

Dripbox with box mineWith this first, limited use the DRIPBOX seems pretty impressive. It’s simple, light weight and compact. It puts out billowy clouds of flavorful vapor. I’ll be using the DRIPBOX extensively over the next week or so and then come back with a full, in-depth review. If you follow Seven Report on Twitter or Facebook you’ll be notified that way when that review is live.

Kangertech lists the DRIPBOX for pre-order at $44.90 and they say the replacement drip coils will be the same price as their OCC coils. The DRIPBOX should be available by the end of March. DirectVapor, a Seven Report advertiser, has available here.
